What level of computers knowledge and experience is necessary to use Proleg's software?
Any archaeologist with a basic knowledge of stratigraphy can learn to use our software quickly and intuitively.
In order to use StratiGraf the user must know the basics of the Microsoft Windows environment (i.e. to how to use menus, toolbars, etc.)

Can I use StratiGraf with my existing CAD drawings?
Yes, you will only have to rename each object in the drawing for the name of the context that represents.

The Context name consists of: Site Code-Excavation-Trench-Grid Square-Context. If Trench and/or Grid Square do not exist in the Site Hierarchy, you should leave it blank. For instance, Context 370 with its Code= IBR and belonging to site excavation 7, will have the following full name: IBR-7---370.

Can I use the software with excavations where the field work phase already finished ?
Yes. This will help you gain a deeper understanding of the excavation, control errors and make the final site interpretations. In addition, it allows you to put together your final report and export it to any MS Office data format.

I already have my recording and search application. Is your software still useful for me ?
Yes. Proleg's software is not only a database system. It also allows you to control errors, generate the Harris Matrix automatically and puts at your fingertips the best interpretation tools available.

Will I lose all the work I have done with your software once the trial version expired or if I decide not to continue my subscription?
If you decide not to continue your subscription you will be able to use the read-only mode free of charge to access all your work.

Is your software enabled for multiple users?
Yes, with Proleg's software users can share same files at the same time. Information is refreshed automatically so the date is always up-to-date, without any inconsistence.
